CONDITION:

There are assorted nicks, scratches, surface scuffs, and finish wear consistent with its age. The back has some noticeable scratches, and there is finish chipping and wear along portions of the body's contoured edges.

The hardware exhibits natural aging and patina, adding to the instrument's authentic vintage character.

The beautiful metallic gold finish remains the star of the show, and the instrument still makes a fantastic visual impression.

Please examine the detailed photographs closely for a complete representation of the instrument's condition.

THE RICKENBACKER SOUND:

One of the defining features of these wonderful old lap steels is the legendary horseshoe-magnet pickup.

An important part of early electric guitar history, this pickup design helped establish the rich, singing electric steel tones associated with Hawaiian music, western swing, traditional country, and early electric blues.

These instruments have a character all their own, and the Electro SD is an especially appealing example of Rickenbacker's early postwar designs.

ORIGINAL HARDSHELL CASE:

This guitar comes complete with its original fitted hardshell case!

The vintage case features a tweed-style exterior with contrasting stripes and a beautiful red plush interior. It shows expected cosmetic wear from age and use but remains a wonderful companion to the guitar.

Finding one of these instruments with its original case is always a nice bonus, particularly for collectors.
