There’s normal cosmetic wear — scratches and scuffs here and there, a few dings on the bell, and a very small dent on the bow. None of that affects the sound or how the horn plays. It went through a professional service a few days ago, I play tested it several times after that, and it’s in tune. Tone holes are clean and round the way they should be. Pads seal evenly with no air leaks.

The action feels sorted under the fingers. Keys travel evenly, springs snap back without feeling stiff, and soft notes still speak instead of hanging. The middle register has that warm, centered Yamaha core with decent projection when you dig in, and the upper end stays controlled. After the service and those extra checks, it feels finished. No extra shop trip needed before someone puts a reed on it.

The 200ADII is Yamaha’s Advantage student alto, the model a lot of school programs used before the 26 became more common.
