The Martin GPC-X2E Rosewood comes from the company's X Series, a line Martin has built at its Navojoa, Mexico facility since the late 1990s around tough, affordable high-pressure laminate (HPL) construction. Martin refreshed the X Series in 2020 with updated specs and features, and this 2021 example comes from early in that updated run. The GPC-X2E Rosewood pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with figured rosewood pattern HPL back and sides, giving you the rich look of rosewood in a body that has excellent stablity and durability. While the idea of laminate construction may give some players pause, laminated back and sides are the norm for most acoustic guitars under $1,200, and HPL is one of the most stable and durable options available.

The GPC-X2E puts a priority on comfort, projection, and playability. The Grand Performance body delivers a balanced, articulate voice with a full low end, and scalloped X bracing keeps the solid spruce top lively and responsive. The 14-fret cutaway opens up easy access to the upper register, while Martin's Performing Artist neck profile and High Performance Taper make chords and leads feel effortless. Style 28 inlays and a multi-stripe mother-of-pearl pattern rosette add a classic Martin touch, and the onboard Fishman MX electronics, with volume and tone controls tucked just inside the soundhole, make it simple to plug in and play out.

Whether it becomes your go-to coffeehouse gig guitar or a step up from an entry-level acoustic, the Martin GPC-X2E delivers an excellent blend of performance, durability, and value.

This used Martin is in excellent condition with no fret wear and just one slight mark on the top that is not easily visible in the photos. It includes our professional setup and setup checklist. Note that no gig bag or case is included.
