Yamaha SG3000S 1984 - Wine

Yamaha SG3000S - 1984 - Wine

One owner from new, bought in 1985

In Excellent and all original condition with very little play wear, it was too pretty to gig.

I took the guitar outside to take the pictures but realised that there were a lot of reflections, so some inside shots as well in flatter light.

All original electronics are in perfect working order as are the original tuners.

Frets are in very good shape with 90% left on them at least

I mainly play finger style and never felt the need to fit the pick guard, so the body of the guitar has not been drilled. It comes with both a black plastic pick guard and a Brass one.

it weighs in at 10lbs 13oz according to my scales, put the Brass pick guard on it and I think it would be 11lbs

The case is in pretty good condition but did have some stickers on at one point, all the latches and hinges are perfect as is the fur lining.

The top is in fantastic condition no dings or scratches, the neck is also ding and scratch free, the front of the guitar is collector grade.

One buckle mark on the rear and at some point my strap has rubbed the tip of the top bout - see last 2 pictures. There is a hint of fogging on the front of the headstock but none on the other paintwork.

its a totally cracking guitar and I have been very proud to own it but I'm not playing much these days and it deserves to be used and loved. If you've got this far reading this listing, then you know what this is and what the SG3000S can do, so I won't bore on with the spec.

I'm open to offers but I'm pretty confident that you will not find a better original "near collector" grade example for quite some time and definitely not at this price.

You would be very welcome to come to my home (Aberdeenshire) and inspect and play the guitar, you will not be disappointed with this example

Shipping & Collection Details:

Due to the pristine, collector-grade nature of this instrument, collection in person is highly preferred - Aberdeenshire. This allows you to inspect the guitar and guarantees its safe transit.

If shipping is required, it will be packed to professional standards (fully detuned, neck supported, and boxed) and shipped via a specialist courier.
