Vintage Goya GG20/G20 Classical Nylon Acoustic Guitar Made in Sweden Early 1970's

Up for sale is a vintage Goya GG20 classical guitar. This one was made in Sweden in the early 1970's, serial number 53264. It plays and sounds great. The bridge has been replaced at some point in this guitar's 50 plus years, and there is a crack that runs from the bridge down to the bottom bout in the top. My luthier checked this and doesn’t seem to think it is a problem but that you might need to reapply the bridge in the future years, at the moment it is solid. The guitar has a few other blemishes, and beautiful crazing, but is in otherwise good cosmetic shape. The neck is mahogany with a maple skunk stripe, the sides and back are maple, a rosewood fret board, and the top is European spruce with lots of crazing which makes for more tones.

There is room to take down the action in the bridge, I just haven’t done it as it felt right for me.

Made by Levin in Sweden and branded Goya for sale in the US, distributed by Dude, Inc., out of Chanute, Kansas. This was a period right before Levin sold the Goya brand to Martin and they were really trying to impress them with these guitars, and this is also the time of Willy Nelson’s guitar Trigger’s creation at Martin. Classical and folk guitars were really popular and were a big market. There were very few of these guitars labelled DUDE INC (This was so one partner could sell off the remaining guitars in America after the deal was made with Martin. People have already discovered the Goya / LEVIN brand especially the guitars made in Sweden during this period of 50's to 1970 are of very good quality.
