The classic cedar/rosewood tonewood coupling returns to our standard lineup with the Next Generation 714ce, serving up warm, textured tone in a versatile package. This all-purpose Grand Auditorium features back and sides of Indian rosewood paired with a Western Red cedar top, with our scalloped V-Class bracing inside to dial up more volume, sustain and open-string resonance. Together with the long-tenon Action Control Neck, the result is a lush, warm, touch-sensitive response with clear trebles, throaty lows and a mellow, round character across the frequency spectrum, all tied together with a blooming overtone profile. Players will appreciate the simple adjustability of the innovative neck joint, while our new Claria electronics make it remarkably easy to plug in and produce rich, adaptable amplified tone for live settings. The Next Generation 714ce sports crisp white body binding, a green abalone rosette with black and white accents, a Reflections inlay suite in green abalone, gold tuning machines, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, and a full-body natural gloss finish.

Features
Rosewood and Cedar Meet Next-Gen Innovation

Two beloved tonewoods combine with scalloped V-Class bracing and other new features to deliver an expressive sound and a comfortable feel.

Grand Auditorium - Our flagship shape offers comfort and cross-genre utility, with a clear, balanced tone suited for both fingerstyle and strumming.

Indian Rosewood Body Wood - The tonewood superstar. Popular, traditional, and versatile, Bob Taylor puts Indian rosewood among the greatest tonewoods ever.

Action Control Neck - Building on Taylor’s legacy of easy-playing necks, the new Action Control Neck pairs a long-tenon joint for added warmth and depth with a patented system for effortless string height adjustment.

Western Red Cedar Top Wood - A true performer for those with a lighter touch, cedar tops yield extra warmth and pair nicely with mahogany and rosewood.

The Claria Acoustic Pickup System - Designed for reliability and ease of use, the Claria System features a reimagined piezo pickup that delivers clear, versatile acoustic tone for any application.

Venetian Cutaway - The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.
