Vintage mid-1960s Ludwig 5x14 Jazz Festival Snare Drum - White Marine Pearl (Keystone Badge / White Resa-Cote / As-Is Project)

Manufactured in the mid-1960s at Ludwig's Chicago factory, this 5" x 14" Jazz Festival snare drum is finished in classic White Marine Pearl wrap with an authentic Keystone badge (serial number 207085). Built with an 8-lug layout, it features a 3-ply wood shell with solid reinforcement rings, an original white Resa-Cote interior, Classic lugs, a P-83 strainer/throw-off, an internal tone control muffler, and triple-flanged chrome counterhoops.

Condition & Project Note (Sold As-Is)

Shell & Wrap: The White Marine Pearl wrap is intact around the shell with no missing sections or structural shell damage. The shell is round, the reinforcement rings are tight, and the factory white Resa-Cote interior is original. The wrap and chrome hardware will clean up nicely with a detailed polishing.

Hardware & Functionality: All major chrome hardware appears to be factory original and complete, including the Classic lugs, counterhoops, and mounting components. The original P-83 throw-off is functional and engages/disengages, though the arm is slightly bent. The internal tone control muffler is present on the shell but sits slightly loose and requires tightening/adjustment. The included original snare strand shows age with bent wires and one strand broken off. The mounted vintage Ludwig heads show heavy playwear and will need replacement for modern playing use.
