Here for sale we have a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '70s Electric Bass in Black finish. Made in Indonesia in 2013, this bass consists of a Soft Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-Saddle Vintage-Style bridge, Standard Open-Gear tuners, and a set of Fender Designed Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, and a master tone control.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C' profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning, whilst the gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck. The Maple fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 9.5” radius and narrow tall frets allow for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway and contoured body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.

The Fender designed single coil pickups sound very traditional, clearly having been vintage-inspired, giving you a deep and punchy tone. The dual volume controls allow you to seamlessly blend the pickups to taste without even needing to touch the tone pot, great for taking you from muted, thumping lows on the neck pickup to full on Jazz bass punch and bite at the bridge, with everything in between.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The top side face demonstrates light scuff marks that could not be removed during our cleaning process. A small indentation is apparent to the binding at the end of the fingerboard.

Neck: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Light delamination is apparent to the headstock end of the skunk stripe.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, scuffing and indentations, most notably at the front face body contour and to the rear face. None of these markings have removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the tuners, bridge, tuners, neck plate and control plate. Light scratching and scuffing is apparent to the pickguard.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
