Alvarez Yairi DY90 1984 Natural

This is a very well made guitar.  It was a player's guitar that has traveled to South America and back, so there are some dings and scratches - as well as a small crack on the face.  PLEASE SEE PICS!  I considered refinishing this guitar before selling, but if I put it back into mint condition it will sell for around $1500.  This is your opportunity to own an amazing guitar at a very reasonable price - with the understanding that it has a few minor finish flaws.  The neck is straight, and the sound is awesome.  I VERY MUCH ENCOURAGE YOU  to do some research on this guitar.  Here is some other information:

Nicknamed The Super Abalone, and for a good reason......
This original Alvarez Yairi design has been very well received in the United States because of the distinctive ebony bridge, inlaid abalone "AY" signature on the black pick-guard and the brilliant abalone binding surrounding the body and the sound hole. The solid ebony fingerboard is also inlaid with abalone markers, and gleaming colorful abalone is inset into a specially molded celluloid binding. Heartwood Jacaranda Rosewood makes up the sides and 3-piece back of the DY90. Sections of the back are separated by dividers of inlaid wood marquetry. The neck is made of mahogany, and contains an adjustable steel rod in a magnesium U-channel. This results in a slender neck of superior strength. Solid Canadian spruce makes up the top of the top of the DY90. Parabolic top bracing is hand-carved and sanded to achieve the full basses and clear trebles inherent in this instrument. Internal lacquering adds to the acoustic advantages of the DY90. Gold Yairi precision gears are non-slip for accurate tuning.
