Here for sale we have an Epiphone G400 Electric Guitar in Cherry finish. Made in Korea in 2002, this guitar features a set in Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece as well as a set of Grover tuning machines. The pickups featured are a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way pickup selector, independent volume and tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a 'D' shape filling the hand nicely without being at all cumbersome and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The smooth finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 24.75" scale is a breeze, whilst the twin cutaways enhance access to the upper frets- really opening up the full register of the instrument. The familiar lines of the SG body are as comfortable as ever ensuring that long practice sessions and gigs are fatigue-free.

The pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic  passive humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to the hard rock and metal tones that are synonymous with this guitar's design. The neck pickup is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your solos to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and with a higher output drives the front end of an amp with ease, perfect for those searing rock rhythm parts. The controls are nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in the perfect tone right on the instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light to mild scratching and scuffing, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. A small chip to the finish is apparent at the edge, by the A string tuning post. Light delamination of the finish is apparent to the treble side top corner. The top edge demonstrates light scuff marks that could not be removed during our cleaning process. The rear of the headstock has an Alligator Music sticker.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching, scuffing and indentations that can be lightly felt by the hand in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching and indentation at the early register. These cannot be felt by the fingers beneath the strings. Delamination of the finish is apparent to the side of the fingerboard at the upper register.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to mild scratching, scuffing and indentations. None of these markings have removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and mild tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece and tuners. The pickguard has been removed and is not included. Moderate scratching is apparent to the plastic between the end of the fingerboard and neck pickup.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
