Today, for your consideration - a 1992 Gibson J-180 Artist! This is one of 100 Everly Brothers‘ “White Everly” J-180s made by Gibson. This one has certainly seen its fair share of the road, but still plays absolutely spot on. The action is low with plenty of saddle to spare. There are two top cracks, one that fully penetrated and one simply on the surface. They have not been cleated from below, and it appears some glue has been set into the top to prevent them growing. The headstock was professionally repaired and it shows no sign of separation. The white paint has thorough discoloration throughout. This is the perfect player, and not so much a collector example. These guitars have been seen in recent years listed as high as $8,000, so given the condition, this seems pretty spot on. The original case is all that is included.
