Wow — this gem with factory-installed Lollar pickups is something truly exclusive that you certainly don’t see every day. Master Dale Wilson has demonstrated his exceptional taste in the choice of color and relicing level: a rare “Shell Pink” finish with wonderfully subtle “Closet Classic” aging, giving the impression that the Tele has been safely stored in a closet for over seven decades, resulting in only the inevitable most minimal cracks in the finish and a slight dulling of the lacquer. Awesome! But this guitar also impresses across the board in terms of tone and playability. The fantastically figured AAA maple neck with its somewhat stronger “Large C” profile, 9.5” fingerboard radius and the popular Narrow/Tall frets invites you to play with abandon. ...and of course the great sound is every bit as impressive as the other outstanding features. Even when played dry this Tele is extremely resonant and the awesome Lollar “Alnico 3” singlecoils definitely deliver across the board. At the neck the tone is incredibly bell-like and round — perfect for everything from clean to Blues. At the bridge you get magnificent Tele twang — lively with plenty of mids, never shrill or harsh. Dynamic and transparent with great nuance and a wide frequency range. From juicy Blues at the neck to rich Rock at the bridge, everything sounds its absolute best. It’s no coincidence that this masterpiece from Wilson was featured in the January 2024 issue of “Grand gtrs” magazine, which is, of course, included with the guitar. So we’re thrilled to offer you this Telecaster in top condition.
