This Fender 1964 Deluxe Reverb AB763 Pre CBS No Logo in black is in excellent condition.  I put the amp on my bench to make sure it is working perfectly.  The filter caps were already changed, likely by Skip Simmons, according to the previous owner.  I worked on the tremolo to get it going, and I added the speaker, discussed below.  A grounded power cable was added.  Pots, jacks, and tube sockets were cleaned and the tubes were tested to make sure the amp is 100% good to go.

All four Schumacher transformers are original and carry 1964 date codes. The "no logo" grille treatment is correct for this transitional period. Onboard reverb and vibrato are both present, and the original vibrato footswitch is included in excellent condition.  The amp runs perfectly and sounds just as it should.

The Oxford 12" speaker has been reconed.  The date sticker is missing, but with the red plug and look of the frame, it is likely from a 1965 Pro Reverb.  I love loading these speakers in Deluxe Reverbs - they handle the bass better and really compliment the circuit.  They're way better than the original! Everything else on the cabinet and chassis side is original: black tolex, silver sparkle grille, pine cabinet, potentiometers, metal chassis, handle, and knobs all check out as untouched. The chassis, cabinet, and baffle show no repairs or modifications beyond the service work described. No smells reported.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. Vintage amplifiers (20 years or older) are sold as-is — all amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
