Since its debut, the Les Paul Custom has been the most elegant member of the Les Paul family. It's the "tuxedo" model, dressed in premium appointments and built to look as impressive as it sounds. This version keeps every classy detail the model is known for and backs it with genuine Gibson USA pickups and hand-wired electronics. The warm Sedona Burst finish gives the classic Custom a rich, glowing look.

Solid Mahogany with a Maple Cap
The Les Paul Custom starts with a solid mahogany body topped with a maple cap. The mahogany gives warmth, depth, and sustain, and the maple adds a touch of sonic bite and clarity. Custom-grade multi-ply binding frames the guitar: 7-ply on the top, 5-ply on the back and headstock, and single-ply on the fingerboard. The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to a substantial 50s Rounded Medium C profile that fills the hand and gives rhythm and lead playing a solid, confident feel. The ebony fingerboard carries 22 frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays, and the 24.75" scale length and 43mm nut width keep the feel familiar and comfortable.
Gibson USA 490R and 498T Humbuckers
The guitar's voice comes from a pair of Gibson USA humbuckers: a 490R in the neck and a 498T in the bridge. The 490R delivers warm, articulate tone with plenty of definition for smooth leads and rich chords. The hotter 498T adds muscle and bite for driving rhythm and cutting solos. Both are hand-wired to CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, with a Switchcraft output jack and pickup selector switch for pro-grade reliability. Two volume and two tone controls give you a wide, musical range of tones, from sparkling cleans to thick, saturated overdrive.
Tuxedo Appointments, Head to Tail
The Gibson-style "open book" headstock has mother-of-pearl split diamond and Epiphone logo inlays, with an Inspired by Gibson Custom double diamond logo on the back. Gold hardware throughout adds even more visual appeal. That includes Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio, an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece.
