Oh boy…
Up for sale is the most player grade, raunchy 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior!
EVERYTHING has been replaced EXCEPT the pots and the tuners!
The body is in rough shape, the finish has been stripped and it is littered with dings and dents! Pickup was routed for a humbucker at one point and a Lollar P90 has been installed! Knobs do not sit flush to the body and are likely import. Knobs, pickguard bridge & studs have been changed! Pot shaft posts are collapsed and bent inward!
The neck is in similar condition, luckily no headstock repairs are present aside from some wing separation that was glued up (albeit with superglue most likely, but it holds!) the separation is not load bearing and holds well! There looks to have been a very well done refret as well! Headstock looks to have been entirely over sprayed and it looks like the serial number has been restamped on the back of the headstock. The original was likely lost when the finish was stripped! The post for the ‘G’ tuner has been replaced, buttons are in poor condition but still turn. Headstock has what looks to be a finish crack going through the truss rod cavity, it does not look to be a repaired crack though. See pictures!
Despite all of the flaws and whatnot, this Junior is an absolute RIPPER. We were shocked when we got it set up, polished up the frets and really dialed it in. The refret was very well done and really elevates the playability on this piece!
THIS IS SOLD AS IS AND AS HEAVILY MODIFIED! NO RETURNS OR PARTIAL RETURNS!!
