Selling my Korg Electribe ESX-1 SD, the later SD-card version of Korg’s classic sampling groovebox.

The ESX-1 is a very hands-on and immediate machine, great for building beats, chopping samples and creating full tracks without a computer. Its combination of sampling, sequencing, motion recording, effects and vacuum-tube output stage gives it a very distinctive sound and workflow.

It’s especially good for drums, loops, one-shots, vocal chops and more experimental sample manipulation. The sequencer is fast and intuitive, making it a great machine for live performance as well as studio use.

For full transparency, the motherboard was replaced in 2013.

A classic piece of hardware with a unique workflow that still feels very relevant today, especially for techno, house, electro and experimental electronic music.
