Parker Fly Classic – Early USA Model | Piezo | Original Hardshell Case
For sale is an early USA-made Parker Fly Classic, one of the original high-end Fly models from Parker’s early production era.
The Fly Classic sat near the top of the Parker lineup, below the Fly Supreme, and combined Parker’s radical lightweight construction with a warmer mahogany-based voice than many of the other Fly variants.
This is an earlier example from before the later “Refined” production changes. Early Fly instruments have become increasingly sought after due to their distinctive construction, extremely light weight, exceptional upper-fret access, and the engineering philosophy associated with Ken Parker’s original design.
The Classic uses a mahogany body together with Parker’s composite-reinforced construction and a 24-fret composite fingerboard. Despite its unconventional appearance, the guitar is extremely ergonomic and balanced, with a fast neck and effortless access across the entire register.
In addition to the magnetic humbuckers, this guitar is equipped with a piezo system, allowing acoustic-like tones to be blended or used separately from the magnetic pickups. This makes the Fly particularly useful for players who need both electric and acoustic-style sounds from a single instrument.
There are a few small dents and normal signs of use. As visible in the photos, there is also some light finish clouding / whitening in areas. This is primarily cosmetic and may be improved by an experienced luthier or finish specialist, depending on the affected area.
The tremolo arm is currently missing.
The original-style hardshell case shown in the photos is included.

One of the more desirable early Parker Fly configurations, combining the warmer response of the Classic’s mahogany construction with the ultra-light feel, composite engineering, piezo versatility, and futuristic ergonomics that made the original Fly series so distinctive.
For players or collectors specifically looking for an early-generation Parker rather than a later Refined-era instrument, this is a particularly interesting example.
