Incredible Gretsch Round-Badge snare drum from the late 1960s. This drum is cataloged as the 4103 model or the "Renown" student snare. I bought this drum in disrepair and did a full restoration plus some upgrades. The drum was re-wrapped in Precision Drum Co. "Blue White Marine Pearl" which is a close match to my modern Broadkaster reissue kit. The throw-off and butt plate were both replaced with the modern Gretsch Micro-Sensitive throw and the adjustable Micro-sensitive butt plate. The drum is a Jasper shell 6-ply maple/gum blend and sounds fantastic. All hardware has been gone through and the lugs have been packed to mute the swivel nut springs.

The drumheads are a brand new Remo Ambassador coated on the batter and a Remo Ambassador hazy for the snare-side head plus new Puresound wires. The drum sounds awesome and is fully functional.

Some wear and tear leftover is from the previous owner(s) on the inside. Some of the silver-sealer is scraped away near the mounting screw holes, and the leftover holes from the old butt plate have been plugged with some dowel stock. The hoops are die-cast modern replacements. The internal muffler is functional and fully original to the drum. The snap-in key holder is also original and the drum comes with the drum key.
