Epiphone G-400 1996 - 2015 - Alpine White

This 2007 Epiphone G-400 SG is a wonderfully playing guitar, that has so much character with amazing playability. There are dings and scratches in the finish, as well as an re located strap button that has since been placed back into original position. There are also some scuff marks on the veneer under the truss cover. But this guitars‘ D shaped neck is worn in well and feels like butter inside the hand. The Alpine White gloss finish has yellowed somewhat, giving it a natural relic that enhances the ‘61 esthetic. The aging and worn bridge and tailpiece (will come in case) was replaced with a Guyker bridge that does not match the original Chrome Grover tuners, but I think the mismatch is a cool part of its charm as a heavily modified players instrument. That said, it also had the seemingly aftermarket PAF clones replaced with a vintage wire rewound in the neck; that was pulled from a similar year Epiphone ES. In the bridge, is a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates open coil black humbucker, that sounds amazing in this instrument. The rewind on the neck pup helps to darken compliment the mid-high heavy sound of the PG. To push the signal properly through the pickups, I re wired the guitar throughout with push cloth wire, CTS pots all around, SwitchCraft switch and jack, and new grounds. The bridge has been re set, as the old bridge had begun to lean, which is a common problem for a guitar of this age and design. The nut was also replaced with a white pre slotted bone nut, which was cut to fit the instrument and setup. Frets have been leveled, crowned, polished earlier this year. Enough meat left for another crown and polish, but that won’t be needed for a quite a while. Will come with a real deal hardhell fitted SG case from SKS. The case has some very mild wear, but is in excellent shape. Can provide pics if needed. Thanks for reading
