1974 Hiwatt Custom 100 DR103 - PETER HOOK Joy Division/New Order - Collector Grade

Vintage all original 1974 Hiwatt Custom 100 DR103 previously owned by none other than Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook as part of his private collection - Collector Grade.

S/N: 5251

This legendary amplifier previously formed part of the Peter Hook Collection and was auctioned off along with other personal historic pieces of equipment from the Joy Division/New Order era. Thus making this amplifier a highly desirable piece of musical history for both collectors and players, not only due to its musical pedigree, but also its collector grade condition.

This really is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase an all original Hylight era Hiwatt Custom 100 DR103 with original Partridge transformers, mustard caps, Bulgin lead and Mullard EL34’s and is a fantastic chance to own an investment grade piece of musical history.

The amp is fully working and sounding amazing having been recently serviced.

It’s a beautiful sounding example from the revered Hylight era of Hiwatt manufacture featuring military spec wiring by the legendary Harry Joyce, with the chassis itself being hand signed by Harry. It is quite possibly the sweetest sounding DR103 we've come across.

The amp offers plenty of headroom for pedals etc whilst offering the mightiest of clean tones. It absolutely nails those Gilmour and Townshend tones.

It really is the norm with these amps...pure, organic tones that bring out the nuances of any guitar that's plugged into them.

This amp really is a piece of rock n roll history.

Comes with COA signed by Peter Hook along with all supporting documentation from the Omega auction + Original vinyl protective cover and Bulgin lead.

This unit will be shipped and fully insured using either UPS or DHL Express services.
