Up for sale, a 1954 Gibson ES-175 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Lifton hardshell case. The fully hollow 16" wide maple body yields tremendous natural detail, sonic depth, and treble immediacy. The sound is bold and balanced acoustically, and the P-90 yields plenty of glassy, percussive cut and sweet midrange bark. This ES-175 weighs 5lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with Thomastik flatwound 12s, low action, and accurate intonation.

The original Sunburst nitro lacquer finish has a bold, glossy three-tone appearance with prominent tight, vertical lacquer checking, exhibiting a few touched-up finish chips on the rims and additional minor touch-up adjacent to the input jack and added forward strap button. There’s a small area of buckle wear through the gloss on the back, a scuff on the bass-side rim on the upper bout, and various minor nicks and finish scratches from light handling. The gloss on the neck profile has palm wear on the shoulders in the first position and some shallow chatter central to the carve up the neck, buffed smooth through play.

The original brown Lifton hardshell case with green interior is included, retaining functional latches and the small Gibson badge beneath the original handle.
