2024 Taylor 414ce-R Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric in Mint condition — cosmetically indistinguishable from new, with the factory protective film still on the pickguard and its original Taylor hardshell case.

Serial number 1203184035, indicating production at Taylor’s El Cajon, California factory on March 18, 2024.

I purchased this guitar relatively recently from a dealer. It has seen extremely limited use and has been played exclusively fingerstyle/fingerpicking. It has been very carefully kept in its case and genuinely presents as new. And most importantly, it sounds beautifully.

The photographs in this listing are of the actual guitar: its condition can be judged directly from the images. Feel free to reach out with additional questions, or for additional images or videos.

The 414ce-R

The Taylor 414ce-R combines Taylor’s versatile Grand Auditorium body shape with the classic tonewood pairing of a Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides.

It features Taylor’s V-Class bracing, a Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access and Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics.

The Indian rosewood on this particular instrument is especially attractive, with rich, highly figured grain across the back and sides and a beautiful deep gloss finish. The spruce top is equally clean. Renaissance fretboard inlays, white binding and understated appointments complement the rosewood without overwhelming the instrument visually.

Taylor's Description of the Model and Tonewoods

According to Taylor, the Indian rosewood/Sitka spruce combination offers the tonal characteristics for which rosewood is prized, including a strong low-end presence, clear and articulate highs, harmonic complexity and a slightly scooped midrange.

Taylor describes its Grand Auditorium as a highly versatile body shape suited to a broad range of playing styles, from fingerstyle to strumming and flatpicking.

Taylor’s V-Class bracing is designed to enhance sustain and volume while improving harmonic agreement and intonation across the instrument.

The above is a summary of Taylor Guitars' published description of the model, body style, tonewoods and V-Class design and is included for reference.

Condition

This guitar is in truly exceptional Mint condition and is cosmetically indistinguishable from new.

It has seen extremely limited use and has been played exclusively fingerstyle/fingerpicking. The original factory protective film is still on the pickguard.

I can find no scratches, dings, dents, cracks, blemishes or other visible signs of use anywhere on the instrument. The Sitka spruce top, high-gloss Indian rosewood back and sides, neck, ebony fingerboard, frets, bridge, headstock, binding and hardware all present as new.

The guitar includes its original Taylor hardshell case, which is likewise in exceptional condition and indistinguishable from new.

Please examine the high-resolution photographs carefully. They show the actual instrument from multiple angles.

Reason for Sale

I already own another Taylor 414ce-R, as well as a Taylor 314ce Builder’s Edition. For fingerstyle playing, I also tend to use a handmade Breedlove, so this particular 414ce-R has received almost no playing time.

There are no issues whatsoever with the guitar. I am simply reducing some duplication in my collection.

For someone considering a new or nearly new rosewood Taylor Grand Auditorium, this is an opportunity to acquire an exceptionally well-preserved 2024 Taylor 414ce-R in genuinely extraordinary condition, complete with its original Taylor hardshell case.

Cosmetically, both the guitar and case are indistinguishable from new. It will be shipped in original Taylor packaging; I will ensure extra padding and layers to prevent any damage.
