Fender Telecaster Custom 60th Anniversary 2011

Today from the ScottyCaps Custom Shop is a special one from the registry, a 2011 60th Anniversary Fender Telecaster made in ‘Merica!

This is the tele that spoils you.

The neck is a joy, with rolled edges and a modern, flatter 9.5” radius vs the 7.5” radius vintage standard. Palm muting is a dream with the Callaham flat steel bridge. I can’t say enough good things about it.  It saves your knuckles vs the ashtray bridge and the increased sustain makes me smile.  The Queen of Tone “MJ” from the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, wound a high output Billy Gibbons “Gilly” bridge pickup. This thing can do it all! Sounds mint. I don’t like single coil tele neck pickup so replaced with a warmer Lindy Fralin PAF humbucker. Keef Richards was on to something! 

If you are looking for a mint, unblemished guitar, keep looking, this is not it (see photos). This guitar has been loved and played. And every nick, scratch and ding is earned. Be its next caretaker and take it on stage, the couch, the fire pit or the front porch. Wherever you’re at, people will appreciate the tone and those that know, know the curation that went into this custom modded telecaster.  Strings are in rough shape, I'll throw in 3 sets of Dunlop strings.

Original Parts:

If buyer wants to restore to factory settings, I’ll include original pickups, bridge, tuners, selector  control plate with pots, knobs and pickguard (everything seen in photos). Take my word you won’t want to, but you’ll have the option, or some parts for another project. Strings are old, I am including 3 sets of Dunlop Electric Nickel strings, 10/46.
