A beautiful Fender Japan AST Aerodyne Stratocaster, finished in Old Candy Apple Red with matching headstock.

The Aerodyne series is one of Fender Japan's most distinctive designs, taking the familiar Stratocaster platform and giving it a much sleeker appearance with a gently carved top, bound body and recessed bridge. This AST combines those modernized body contours with otherwise classic Strat specifications.

This example dates to approximately 2010–2012 and carries serial number U012347. Fender's Japanese serial records place Made in Japan U-prefix instruments primarily in 2010–2011, with some examples continuing into 2012.

The combination of the deep metallic red finish, cream binding and black pickguard gives this one a dramatically different appearance from a standard Strat. The matching painted headstock really completes the look.

It has just been cleaned, restrung and set up with nice low action and is playing great.

Overall condition is Very Good. There is normal cosmetic wear from use, including scattered light scratches, small marks and some wear around the body edges and hardware. The finish still presents extremely well overall, particularly considering the age of the guitar.

The neck and rosewood fingerboard are both in excellent shape, and there is almost no visible fret wear, leaving plenty of fret life remaining.
