Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gibson Firebird is in good cosmetic condition with attractive wear, aging, and signs of repair. The finish is glossy with light scratches and minor dents throughout. The back of the headstock has some light finish checking as well as a repaired crack.
Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has been fully refinished in TV Yellow. When the guitar was refinished, the serial number was re-stamped. The neck has been refretted. The strap buttons and the nut have been replaced. There is a headstock repair visible on the back of the headstock and both sides of the fingerboard. This repair is stable and not affecting playability. This is a transitional model that originally had regular six on a side Kluson tuners. When the guitar was refinished, those holes were filled and it was converted to the banjo tuners more commonly seen on this model. In addition, the raised section of the headstock overlay was added. The volume pot has been replaced and the wiring has been redone.
