The Höfner 1963 Violin Bass Artist Reissue in Sunburst captures the unmistakable look, feel, and warm vintage character that made the Violin Bass one of the most recognizable instruments of the 1960s. Inspired by Höfner’s early-'60s construction, this Artist Reissue combines its iconic violin-shaped hollow body with a short 30" scale and lightweight design for an exceptionally comfortable playing experience.
Its fully hollow construction delivers the woody, rounded response for which vintage Höfner basses are famous. A pair of Höfner-style pickups provides everything from deep, pillowy lows to articulate vintage bass tones, while the traditional control panel offers the distinctive switching and tonal versatility associated with the classic Violin Bass.
Finished in a rich Sunburst, the bass has the timeless visual appeal that made the original a fixture of the British Invasion era. Whether you're chasing authentic '60s bass tones, recording warm melodic lines, or simply looking for an instrument with unmistakable vintage personality, the 1963 Violin Bass Artist Reissue delivers classic Höfner character in abundance.
Condition: Excellent..nice vintage feel. Excellent tone and playability. There is a small ding on the back and small blemish on the bottom side corner. Light pick marks. Comes with the original case. I'm sure of the exact year but I believe it's a 2018-2020 model. Somewhere in that timeline.
