Supro Comet Lap Steel 1950-60s - White- No Output Signal

We had a gentleman come in a few weeks ago, he had some older lap steel guitars he had inherited from his father's collection. This Supro was rather hastily purchased without any testing. When I saw it in the buy room, I inquired on whether or not it came with a cable. I got very little reaction. So I ordered a Switch Craft 2501F end and thought I can make one, no big. I watched a YouTube video or 2 and heated up an iron. At the end of it I ended up with a cable that has continuity in the positive and ground according to my multi meter, but it doesn't make any sound when I hook it up to the instrument. I also used my meter in the cavity, I get beeps at he solder points up to jack but none on the other end of the jack. I'm kind of a YouTube mechanic and none of thos stuff really makes since to me. I'm kind of over it. Selling As-Is, if you want to use it you'll probably want to replace the jack, I don't want that smoke. Comes with a faux snake skin chip case and I'm pretty sure the tuner are replacement parts. Please feel free to message with any questions or to make an offer. Thanks for looking.
