The Martin Custom Shop 0-18K2 CFM IV is a remarkably refined 0-12 fret acoustic guitar, crafted entirely with beautifully figured flamed koa. Its vintage gloss finish reveals the natural depth and movement of the wood, while the Old Style 18 multi-stripe rosette, black binding, and Style 18 back purfling add an elegant, understated character. The flamed koa top, back, and sides give this instrument a distinctive visual presence while honoring Martin's timeless tradition of finely crafted small-body guitars.

Built with a dovetail neck joint and X-bracing featuring hand-shaped GE scalloping, the 0-18K2 is designed for exceptional responsiveness and tonal balance. The spruce 1/4 inch braces complement the compact 0 body, allowing the guitar to deliver a remarkably expressive acoustic voice. An ebony bridge with a bone saddle, ebony bridge pins, and 2 5/32 inch string spacing completes the traditional acoustic design, with no electronics or pickguard to interrupt its natural character.

The neck features a GE Modified Low Oval shape with Martin's High-Performance Taper, a 24.9 inch scale, and 20 frets joining the body at the 12th fret. The ebony fingerboard carries Old Style 18 abalone inlay, with a 1 3/4 inch nut width expanding to 2 1/8 inches at the 12th fret. Pleked for precision, the guitar offers an exceptionally comfortable and accurate playing experience, while its vintage gloss neck, natural select hardwood construction, and antique white side dots complete the sophisticated presentation.

Adding to its collectibility is the "100 Years of Lacquer" paper label featuring a pre-printed CFM IV signature and sequential edition numbering. Weighing only 3 pounds 11 ounces and supplied with a hardshell case, this left-handed-available Custom Shop instrument combines lightweight comfort, exceptional koa craftsmanship, historic Martin styling, and carefully considered modern playability. The result is an intimate and highly distinctive Martin, created for the player or collector who appreciates rarity, detail, and the enduring beauty of a finely voiced small-body guitar.
