The Dirt Dog Overdrive — developed with Joey Landreth — delivers expressive, amp-like breakup with outstanding touch sensitivity. Simple Gain, Level, Bite, and Tone controls make it easy to shape everything from warm grit to rich, sustaining drive.

Whether you know Joey Landreth from his work with The Bros. Landreth, his soulful solo releases, or his unmistakable slide-guitar voice on stages around the world, one thing is certain: Joey has a sound all his own. Developed in close collaboration with Joey and Revv founder Dan Trudeau, the Dirt Dog Overdrive captures the character, feel, and attitude of the tones he crafted for the newest Bros. Landreth record, Dog Ear.

With Dirt Dog, we set out to bottle Joey’s signature mix of chewy breakup, velvety sustain, and the dynamic response that lets you move from whisper-quiet nuance to full-tilt roar. Its straightforward control layout — Gain, Level, Bite, and Tone — gives players everything they need to dial in expressive, amp-like drive that stays connected to the subtleties of your hands.

TONE FROM THE RECORDING ROOM, THE STAGE & THE WOODSHED

Joey lived with every iteration of this pedal throughout its development — testing prototypes in sessions, on tour, and in his personal practice rigs. These real-world trials refined the final voicing: a flexible gain structure, a musical EQ, and a carefully shaped harmonic texture that complements slide, fingerstyle, and full-band mixes.
