2004 Fender Standard Stratocaster MIM Metallic Red Maple Neck - Modified - Read Description

This Fender Standard Stratocaster features a Mexican-made Fender maple neck with serial number MZ4269906. Fender's serial number lookup identifies this serial as "STD STRAT SATIN MN CAR," indicating a Standard Stratocaster with maple neck originally cataloged in Satin Candy Apple Red.

The currently installed body has a glossy metallic red appearance. While the color is consistent with a Candy Apple Red-type finish, the appearance of the finish and the guitar's modified configuration prevent us from confidently verifying that the body is original to the neck. For that reason, we are describing the finish simply as Metallic Red and are not representing the body or finish as factory-original.

The guitar has also undergone electronic modifications. The pickups are marked "STA3M(fender)-VC" and the pickguard has shielding installed. Internal photos show non-factory wiring and modification work. Please refer closely to the provided photos for the exact electronics and construction.

Condition:

This guitar is in good used condition with normal cosmetic wear from previous use. There are scratches, scuffs and other signs of handling visible throughout the body and hardware.

The guitar has been modified from its original factory configuration. The electronics show non-factory work, and we cannot independently verify that the currently installed body is the original body paired with this neck. Fender's serial lookup identifies the original instrument as a Standard Stratocaster with maple neck in Satin Candy Apple Red, but the current body has a noticeably glossy metallic red appearance.

There is also visible modification/work in the neck pocket area underneath the neck. Please inspect the detailed photos carefully.

The rear tremolo cavity cover is missing and is not included.

Because of the modifications and uncertainty surrounding the originality of some components, this guitar is being sold based on its current configuration rather than as a completely original 2004 Fender Standard Stratocaster.

It has been tested and is functioning as intended.
