Here we have a very fine and rare 1970 Kustom KB-200B-1 bass head in a 'Cascade' 'Emerald' green tolex sparkle finish. The head is fully original which is truly amazing. My tech went through it and cleaned all the electronics and will be removing the death cap and keeping it's original powerncord.
All cleaned up and tested ready to pump some bass!
Cosmeitically the amp has a really good look. Up close there are a few flaws as seen in pictures.
We do have pictured in this listing the matching 1970 Kustom 3-15' empty cabinet that is for sale pickup only at our shop. It is listed in a separate listing for you to see at the following link.
This listing is for the bass head 'only' to be picked up here at the shop or shipped.

This Kustom K-200 B-1 rolled pleated bass head with serial number 56067 was manufactured in 1970 by Kustom Electronics Inc. in Chanute, Kansas.
Head Specifications & Features
- Model Designation: The "B" indicates it has a black control panel, while "-1" means it is a clean, non-effects chassis configuration. It features two independent channels, each with inputs, volume, bass, treble, and a bright switch.
- Power Output: Despite the "200" naming convention, it outputs roughly 100 Watts RMS (200 Watts peak power) via early, highly durable solid-state transistor circuitry.
- Aesthetics: It features Bud Ross's iconic "Tuck 'n' Roll" padded Naugahyde vinyl covering. The Green Sparkle finish (often cataloged officially as Cascade Green or Emerald Green) is highly prized by collectors today because it is significantly rarer than standard black.

NOTE: Too cool. Late last summer we shipped a 1967 MapleGlo Rickenbacker 6-12 Converter 'comb' guitar to Billy Corigan of Smashing Pumpkins! We also then shipped a vintage 50 watt Marshall head to L.A. studio-touring guitarist extraodinaire, Michael Landau, and 2 vintage guitars to Jack White's organization down in Nashville just a few days before his 50th. birthday! mmm? Add 'The Kentucky Head Hunters' to the list, just sold Greg a cool little 50's Valco tube combo amp!
Gordy's Music has become a Detroit institution! Our shop was used as a filming location for a few films like "Miracle in Motor City" a Christmas movie on Lifetime (featuring Smoky Robinson). We've supplied gear for movies including "Bill & Ted Face The Music" with Keanu Reeves. We've got decades of celebrity customers, including recent visits from Beck, Eric Johnson, and we recently sold Billy Joel's bassist a cool Gibson SG he is in love with. One day a while back Andre 3000 and his group stopped in to browse as they were playing Masonic Temple that night and right after that we sold an old oil can Morley Wah Vibrato pedal to Credence Clearwater Revival's thee John Fogerty!
We are having and have had a lot of fun here at Gordy's Music! I was just remembering about 35 years ago a tour bus pulled up to our little shop, and who rolls right in and hangs out for an hour? Lenny Kravitz and his entire group, right about the same time I was selling many guitars to and chauffeuring around Dee Dee Ramone who had an apartment a block down from my house.
