Get ready to hit the open road with a dreadnought that effortlessly channels vintage mojo with completely modern reliability! The Martin D-12E Retro brings an elite level of acoustic power right to your fingertips, combining premium materials into a stunning full-body gloss aesthetic. Built on Martin's legendary D-14 Fret foundation, this guitar provides a massive, room-filling sound that singer-songwriters, flatpickers, and live performers have cherished for decades.

The tonal magic relies entirely on its solid tonewood combination. Up front, a solid spruce top treated with a gorgeous Aging Toner provides incredible clarity, a broad dynamic range, and massive headroom that won't break up when you really dig in. Beneath the hood, scalloped X-bracing supercharges the top's responsiveness, helping the notes pop with immediate projection. This is paired beautifully with solid sapele back and sides, which deliver a punchy midrange and a focused, robust low-end response. It captures the woody warmth that legendary musicians like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley relied on with classic Martin Style 18 builds, giving you a full-bodied acoustic voice that sits effortlessly into any live mix.

Whether you are performing under stage lights or picking on the front porch, the modern playability of this rig is unmatched. The select hardwood neck features a Performing Artist profile and a high-performance taper, ensuring ultra-smooth, lightning-fast fretting hand movement all the way up the ebony fingerboard. When it is time to plug in, the built-in Martin E1 electronics accurately broadcast your true acoustic voice directly to a PA or interface while offering a discrete onboard tuner to keep you perfectly in pitch between songs. Complete with elegant vintage-inspired appointments like an Old Style 18 multi-stripe rosette and butterbean open-gear tuners, this guitar is a timeless powerhouse built for the modern road.
