Selling my Roland D-70 as-is. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows these classic Roland synths, wants a restoration project, or simply wants to use the D-70 as a sound module.

The synth powers on and the sound engine works properly. When controlled via MIDI, the D-70 works very well as a sound module. I tested it with an external MIDI controller and all the sounds/functions I tested worked as expected.

There are, however, some issues with the keyboard itself:

• The keyboard needs servicing. Some notes do not trigger correctly and, in certain areas, pressing a key can trigger multiple notes at once.
• The display works, but the backlight is no longer working, so the display is difficult to see in normal lighting.
• I opened the unit to inspect the keyboard connections, but I did not find an obvious loose ribbon cable or connector. The keyboard likely needs a proper service/repair.
• I am selling it AS IS / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR, with no warranty or guarantee regarding the keyboard.

The D-70 was also tested through MIDI with an external controller, and the synth section itself functions properly, making this a potentially useful unit for someone looking for a D-70 sound module without needing the onboard keyboard.
