A performance-focused Yamaha 5-string BB bass built for players who want upgraded hardware, stronger sustain, and powerful extended low-end response with classic BB character.

• 5-string BB Series design with extended low B range
• Custom V7 Alnico V P/J pickups deliver punch, articulation, and dynamic response
• 6-bolt miter neck joint improves sustain, resonance, and neck stability
• Vintage Plus bridge supports both top-load and string-through-body setups
• 5-piece maple and mahogany neck enhances rigidity and long-term consistency

The Yamaha BB435 expands the upgraded BB platform into a versatile 5-string configuration designed for modern bass players who need extended low-end range without sacrificing articulation, balance, or overall feel. Built around Yamaha’s custom V7 Alnico V pickup system, the BB435 delivers punchy lows, focused mids, and clear note separation suited for demanding live performance, recording sessions, and modern bass applications.

The alder body provides balanced resonance and strong foundational low-frequency response across all five strings, while Yamaha’s updated BB body shape improves comfort and weight distribution without losing the traditional BB identity. The custom V7 pickup configuration combines the warmth and authority of a split-coil neck pickup with the articulation and clarity of a single-coil bridge pickup, giving players access to a broad range of usable tones across rock, pop, funk, metal, indie, and session work.

A major upgrade within the BB435 platform is Yamaha’s 6-bolt miter neck joint, which improves body-to-neck energy transfer for enhanced sustain, resonance, and long-term stability. Combined with the 5-piece maple and mahogany neck construction, the bass feels exceptionally solid and dependable during extended rehearsals, touring, and studio use. The Vintage Plus bridge further improves feel and flexibility by supporting both top-load and string-through-body stringing configurations.

The Black finish gives the BB435 a clean understated appearance with strong stage versatility and timeless visual character. Paired with the BB body shape and chrome hardware, the finish creates a bass that feels classic, focused, and adaptable across virtually any musical environment while maintaining the modern working-player identity of the BB Series.
