"Danocaster Finished Neck" on a "Guitar Mill Finished" Double Cut 2018 - Deep Lake Placid Blue
Up for sale is my Partscaster with Freakin Danocaster "finished neck" on a Guitar Mill "lightly relic'd" Nitro "finished" Double Cut body - I "Customized" for myself. This combo worked out great! Rare/unique situation. Killer guitar.
* I took out of the case to do a really quick sound sample video with my phone. *
After messaging and getting the go-ahead from Dan and the friend I got the neck from - Here's some clarity on this listing.
This is NOT a fully authentic Danocaster guitar. Just the neck that Dan finished some years ago and I put it on this custom build. (More explanation below under - neck spec)
- If you're interested in just the neck? I might be willing to negotiate that. Just message me. - just know I won't be giving it away. it’s the most coveted part on the guitar. Fender Custom Shop necks go for $1200-$1500. Id consider around $1k being it’s just as good if not better
It's been a studio only guitar. I used it on a handful of recordings throughout these years. Has never seen a stage. Plays and sounds outstanding! Especially, if you're used to a Gibson radius and prefer 22 frets.

Neck (Info)
The neck was from a friend of mine who works with Dan on the Danocaster necks. It was initially intended for his Danocaster, but I ended up with it for this guitar instead. Dan used to source necks from All Parts, but now sources the necks from USA Customs, but this one was sourced from "All Parts" My buddy really liked it because he's used to a 12" Gibson radius. He did all the prep work... as he does on most all Danocaster necks... before Dan finishes them into the masterpiece they are. To reiterate, (It's just a neck that Dan finished and put his "Freakin" logo on because of past issues with Fender headstock... had to change suppliers) Either way, it's FANTASTIC! - In the years I've owned it, the neck has never moved enough to warrant adjusting the truss rod. It's been very stable!
- (All Parts) - Finished Freakin Danocaster neck- by Dan Strain
- 25.5 Scale
- 12” radius

- Medium C - feels exactly like any other Danocaster I've played with the same profile
- 1.67 - Bone Nut
- 1st fret -.83
- 12th fret - .94
- Staggered Kluson 18:1 vintage tuners - for better beak angle and tuning stability
- Currently setup with 9.5-44 gauge strings for the tension I prefer
Body
Light weight Alder - Double cut - Nitro Lightly Aged/relic’d - by the guys at Guitar Mill
- has a Deep neck pocket and very resonate pared with this neck
Finish is technically called - Deep Lake Placid Blue
Pickups
I purchased a loaded pick guard from The Stratosphere. It’s from a Official American Fender Custom Shop 1965 Journeyman Relic Stratocaster - Loaded Pickguard "ME" Hand-Wound '65 Strat Pickups with RWRP Middle- 5-Way Switch- Vintage Modified #2 Wiring- 3 Ply Eggshell Pickguard- All original w/ screws- Genuine Fender - I love the sound of these
Bridge
- Callaham vintage bridge with narrow string spacing, so they don’t slide off the edge of the heavily rolled board
- Highwood bent steal vintage saddles with slots so strings stay in place, and grub screws won’t dig in your hand while playing - still retains the vintage sound associated
Again, Feel free to message with any questions
This is a beautifully unique and coveted treasure I'm unfortunately being forced to part with due to financial strain.
Thanks for your consideration
