The R3-147 is not just a rotary emulator—it IS a genuine rotary effect! Unlike typical Leslie emulators, this innovative device features a real rotating horn powered by a low-wattage amp, all housed within a 4-rack space enclosure. The sound is captured by four microphones—two near mics and two distant mics—combined with a lower rotor simulator and passed through a 12AX7 pre-amp tube to add authentic tube distortion. The result is an incredibly rich and authentic rotary sound.

The R3-147 boasts dual inputs, an effects loop, pre and post-gain controls, contour/blend options, close/distant mic placement controls, and a MIDI input jack for switching speeds using MIDI controller data. It also offers two sets of audio outputs—one on 1/4-inch jacks and another on XLR balanced outputs. This unit is exceptionally cool and highly useful in both studio and live environments.

This previously used item shows signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended. It includes the original footswitch.
