Extremely rare model of an extremely rare Italian Brand. Welson is a very rare Italian brand of keyboards and synthesizers, a lot of their rarer models are in museums and are almost priceless. The Gispy star was a combo organ made very briefly between the release of the Welson Gispy (1974) and the Welson Disco Star (1978) supposedly only a few hundred were made. It was bought and professionally repaired recently. Every button works, it has been tuned and the signal is as clean as it can possibly be, it geniunely sounds new. I had my fun with it, recorded a few songs, unfortunately it is not the exact circuity and design i was looking for, but it is a perfectly competent farfisa/vox adjacent combo organ with a few synth like and percussion/piano sounds that can create very nice and unique combinations. It is basically gig ready, having a built in set of speakers and built in foldable legs it is ready to go in any situation, to my dismay the inputs and outputs are at the bottom so it’s not good to stack against other keyboards but for someone else this would be a perfect gigging keyboard for someone looking for a transistor organ sound with some extra percussion presets and wah effects.
