About this model

The PreSonus Firebox is a compact FireWire audio interface built around two Class-A microphone and instrument preamps with 48V phantom power, delivering 24-bit resolution at up to 96 kHz and a dynamic range of 110 dB. It offers six inputs in total - including two analogue line inputs and two S/PDIF digital inputs - alongside ten outputs comprising six analogue line outs, two S/PDIF digital outs, and a stereo headphone output. MIDI is handled via a 1-in/1-out DB9 breakout cable. The unit can be powered directly from the FireWire bus or via an external adapter, making it practical for both studio and location recording setups.
