In the world of "first call” drummers, Steve Ferrone is the first one they call. Just ask Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, George Harrison, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Rick James, Slash, Chaka Khan, Bee Gees, Al Jarreau, Mick Jagger or Johnny Cash. When iconic bands like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Average White Band, Duran Duran and Aerosmith needed to replace their “irreplaceable” drummers, Steve Ferrone was the guy who stepped up. 

Steve played a lot of drums throughout his career and he's saved almost every one of them. He has drums from Ludwig, Pearl, DW, Gretsch, Rogers and more. Some are custom made, some are rare prototypes, all are stellar drums. Nothing made it into his collection unless it was exceptional. 

He’s thinning down his collection to just the drums he needs for his current gig with Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs, and his steady stream of session dates.

Gretsch USA Custom SF Signature “Studio” Set

This 2006 Gretsch USA Custom Cadillac Green Steve Ferrone Signature Series drum set was created for Steve Ferrone, longtime drummer for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This was the "house set" in Ferrone's Los Angeles recording studio from 2006 until about 2017. The set can be heard on countless recordings recorded in Steve's studio during this time.

22x14" bass, 13x9" tom with RIMS mount, 10x8" tom with RIMS mount, 16x16" floor tom.

Gretsch Cadillac Green Steve Ferrone Signature Model drums are also the same drums Steve played live with Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

The set is in excellent condition with no notable issues. The first photo depicts the condition accurately. My apologies for the lack of detailed close up photos. With the massive number of drums we needed to photograph, we just didn't have time to take detail shots of this set.

A signed Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers logo bass drum head and a pair of Steve's stage played signature model drumsticks are included.
