Dinosaural Dan Solo Booster

Essentially, this is a stand-alone pedal identical to the final “Solo” section found on the flagship Dan Coggins masterpiece, the Cogmeister.

A simple musical accessory that boosts the upper midrange of a guitar signal to make solos and lead lines stand out above chord/rhythm work. It also creates a mild overdrive when pushed fully which will work well with any classic valve guitar amp designs that have no channel switching or preamp drive, as well as newer designs and solid-state amps alike. Uses a special design analogue Class A discrete transistor circuit for the ultimate in sound quality and transparency of tone, which is switched out with True (Hardwire) bypass.

This pedal may be set subtly (clean) and progressively boost (semi-clean) and can be used to push a bigger level into the input of a valve amp, thereby adding a subtle distortion and tonal fatness. Also, the “PEAK” control gives a progressively variable bandwidth content, ranging from just perceptible (broad across most frequencies) to a blatant centering around ~2kHz, with a gradual action.
