Beautiful vintage Spanish guitar by Vicente Tatay of Valencia, dating from approximately 1950. A wonderfully characterful instrument, traditionally built in the Spanish style and possessing the immediate, colourful sound associated with mid-century Valencian guitars.
A wonderful instrument in sound and playibility. With this guitar one really achieves acquiring the outstanding spanish guitar sound of the period without breaking the bank.

The guitar is in excellent playing condition, with a comfortable string action, clean response and no buzzing. The sound is elegant and warm when played delicately, but the instrument also has surprising power, projection and attack. It responds particularly well to rasgueado and flamenco-style playing, with a lively, dry Spanish character, while retaining enough warmth and sustain for classical repertoire and accompaniment. A genuinely versatile guitar with a very authentic Spanish voice.

The spruce top is ine excellent condition with no cracks. The friction pegs are in excellent condition and work beautifully. The understated rosette and lightly built body give the guitar a wonderfully direct, old-world Spanish appearance.

A charming and highly playable vintage instrument. A guitar with history, personality and, most importantly, a beautiful and powerful musical voice.
