The Roland KD-22 is a premium 22-inch x 18-inch electronic kick drum pad designed for the V-Drums Acoustic Design series. Originally included with the flagship VAD716 kit, it features a full-depth wood shell wrapped in custom chrome lugs, claws, and spurs to deliver the commanding stage presence of an acoustic bass drum. Inside, an innovative head-mounted sensor system moves naturally with air pressure, providing the exact physical rebound, acoustic feel, and resistance that traditional drummers demand.

Advanced Triggering and Robust Hardware Upgrades

Engineered for the modern player, the KD-22 boasts an enlarged trigger area that easily accommodates double bass pedals and shorter beater settings with flawless tracking. The physical design has been overhauled with updated telescopic legs featuring integrated adjustment indicators for fast setups, alongside an upgraded rubber foot and locking nut design for rock-solid stability on any stage floor. To ensure maximum longevity, the pad includes a KDP-5 self-adhesive patch that reduces surface wear while supporting felt, plastic, and wood beaters seamlessly.
