The innovative Crossover series offers instruments with a narrower neck, a radiused fingerboard and a new, innovative pickup system.

The smaller body feels very comfortable and playability is spot-on. The ideal guitar for steelstring or electric guitarplayers. These players are mainly used to a narrower neck than the standard classical guitarneck of 52 mm. Another feature that is taken from the steelstring guitars is the radiused fingerboards. A big improvement in playability for this specific group of guitarists.

This insturment has a body/neck connection at the 14th fret, another feature that will feel familiar to the steelstring guitarist. We have combined this feature with a slightly shorter scale. This way the playability is enhanced and the sound improved.

The MP14OV has a solid ovangkol top and ovangkol sides and back. A visually stunning combination! The ovangkol top yields less volume than spruce or cedar tops, making this perfect for amplified use. This guitar will withstand feedback more easily and fits the name Crossover perfectly!

The Martinez STF pickup system is a revelation to the ear. The undersaddle pickup with combined microphone system not only amplify the natural tone very accurately, this system has some special features: Internally installed on the back of the guitar is a driver that makes the back respond like a loudspeaker. So, without being plugged in, you can add effects to your acoustic tone. Available are two different reverbs, chorus or delay. A unique feature, not found on any other nylonstring guitar. The internal 18650 battery (same type as Tesla installs 7104 pcs of in their model S and X cars!) is rechargeable.
