We have received a pre-owned 18-inch Spizzichino cymbal.
This is a rare, completely handmade cymbal crafted by the late Roberto Spizzichino.
Born in Rome, Italy, Roberto Spizzichino was a passionate drummer with a deep interest in vintage cymbals. He was known for driving all the way from Italy to Istanbul, Turkey, every year to purchase "K Zildjian" cymbals.
However, during one of his regular visits to Istanbul, he discovered that the K Zildjian factory had closed. Driven by the thought that it would be a tragedy to lose such magnificent cymbals, he decided to begin crafting his own. After extensive research and experimentation, he started producing hand-hammered cymbals using B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin) around 1980.
Created using a unique manufacturing process while pursuing a deep, "aged" sound reminiscent of vintage K Zildjians, Spizzichino cymbals are now highly acclaimed by jazz drummers worldwide.
This specific unit is 18 inches in size and weighs 1,488g. It features a comfortably light weight and excellent overall balance. It responds readily to a delicate touch, allowing the player to enjoy the rich resonance and vintage-style sound characteristic of Spizzichino cymbals.
This is a rare cymbal highly recommended for playing styles that prioritize tonal nuance, particularly in jazz.
Size: 18"
Weight: 1,488g
