Alembic Series 1 1975 Zebrawood

This is a 1975 Alembic Series 1 bass with zebrawood top and mahogany core. The neck is maple and walnut with a veneer of walnut on the front and back of the headstock.
The electronics are all original and functional. The bass does not come with the external power supply/ pickup splitter box so you will need to use a stereo cable in order to use both pickups.
I've added an extra strap button and the bass hangs from the strap without  any excess neck dive. Weight is a managable 10.6 lbs.
The finish is without cracks or any indication of checking.

I've had the headstock repair inspected by Rick Turner and he said "it's not pretty but if it's holding...dont touch it!" 
Rick also told me that this bass was one of the first to be built with the now infamous  "log" of zebrawood he brought back to the Alembic shop. John Entwistles first Series 1 zebrawood  bass was built at the same and the grain on that bass and this one show similarities.
It's a fantastic sounding instrument with attitude and a neck that is effortless to play.
