The top wood, resembling a rocky surface, is myrtle.

The dark vertical grain on both sides, and the burl near the center...

If you look at it from an angle, you can clearly see the flame pattern... It's listed as figured myrtle in the specifications.

While it has a sophisticated feel similar to black limba, if you look closer and change the angle... it's a top wood that offers many enjoyable aspects.

The standard alder body is a firm, tightly grained type.

With an alder body, you might expect rosewood... but the fretboard is pau ferro.

It's not simply lighter than rosewood; it gradually darkens from the G string to the B string, giving it a slightly rainbow-like appearance.

It feels like they carefully considered these details as well.

The butterfly on the headstock is crafted from monochrome buckeye burl, a choice of wood that seems to prioritize a calm and understated aesthetic over flashiness.

The parts consist of the standard Fodera/Duncan pickups and a Fodera/Trickfish 3-band preamp.

Both pickups are neutral, making the differences in wood quite apparent. While the sound is a key factor, this particular model delivers a strong, forward-projecting sound with a prominent midrange.

The alder's midrange is complemented by a touch of pau ferro's slight firmness, further enhancing the already vibrant alder tone.

Even with dual coils, the sound cuts through clearly, and coil-tapping to single-coil mode provides a pleasant, nuanced slap sound.

The 70s JB-style position of the bridge pickup may also be a contributing factor.
