Sabian 18" AA Medium Thin Crash

The Sabian 18" AA Medium Thin Crash delivers responsive stick articulation with surprising projection, balancing thin cymbal sensitivity against medium-weight durability. This crash responds quickly to dynamic playing while maintaining enough mass to cut through a full kit, making it equally at home in jazz, fusion, and rock contexts. The B20 bronze construction produces a characteristically warm, complex tone that develops richer overtones as the cymbal matures with use.

Tone & Sonic Character

The AA series bright finish delivers a tonally full, articulate crack with clean stick definition and fast decay. Medium Thin weight combines the responsiveness of thinner crashes with enough body to sustain projection in ensemble settings, avoiding the paper-thin character of lighter weights while preserving nuanced dynamic control.

Construction & Materials

B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin) is the traditional cymbal alloy, known for producing complex, musical tone development over years of playing. The Medium Thin profile requires less force to activate fully, reducing player fatigue during extended sessions while maintaining reliable performance across varying strike intensities.
