Light Complex Bosphorus 13” ANTIQUE DARK Hihats 770

Here’s a pair of damn-near-impossible-to-find Hihats! They’re Antique FACTORY STAMPED “DARK” Hihats. And they’re in the quick and responsive 13” size.
The only pair I have and the only pair I’ve ever seen.
Hand Hammered Bopshorus Antique - Sultan Style 13” “Dark” Hihats in amazing condition! Only played for the video.
These are simply stunning - semi-dark and smooth with a slight hint of complexity - fairly light and airy with a broad spread.
And being the 13s”, they are much more responsive, quick and articulate than larger 14s and 15s.
Weighing in at a THIN 770 grams for the Top Cymbal and 920 grams for the Bottom Cymbal, these Dark 13s” play like Hand Hammered fairly smooth and Semi-DARK THIN to Medium Thin Hihats with a blend of light smoothness and complexity. The concentric lathed and unlathed rings provide multiple surfaces for different tones.
What's interesting about this particular pair of Sultans is that they are particularly LIGHT AND AIRY WITH A SMOOTHNESS. They are DARKER but still have a few shadows of brightness in there.
Light and airy, even, smooth, medium darkness, with a bit of hand hammered complexity and dryness! VERY airy with that old world Hand Hammered complexity.
High and lows present.
Perfect for low to medium loud volumes.
Amazing shape. No issues. Only demoed and that’s it. Hard to find! The only pair I’ve seen.
