A custom built unit using the components of a BBE Sonic Maximiser with a hand made EQ circuit that was affectionately now as the “Esquilax” cuts frequencies you dont want as opposed to boosting those you do.

I can be run in line with the guitar signal after an overdrive or distortion pedal to get the most benefit in colouring the gain tone.

Anyone familiar with running an EQ in the effects loop of an amp to colour their gain tone should consider adding this pedal to their arsenal, I run it in my loop. It can turn the gain stage of even the crappiest tube amp into a well groomed shred machine, with sharp attack, defined harmonics with a ton of clean bottom end.
