Selling my Lavry Savitr A/D converter in excellent condition. Purchased as part of a plan to build out a more dedicated mastering chain, but my workflow has shifted and it simply isn’t getting the use it deserves.
The Savitr is one of those rare pieces of gear that quietly sits at the very top of the converter world. Dan Lavry’s designs have long been trusted by mastering engineers who prioritise accuracy, depth and musicality over marketing hype, and the Savitr is arguably his finest work.
Sonically, it’s incredibly open, natural and effortless. There’s a sense of depth, dimensionality and realism that makes it easy to forget you’re listening through a converter at all. Transients remain intact, low-level detail is exceptional, and stereo imaging feels remarkably stable and three-dimensional. It’s the kind of unit that rewards great source material rather than imposing a sound of its own.
Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Lavry - serious, professional, and designed entirely around performance. Everything works perfectly and the unit has been very well cared for in a smoke-free studio environment.
If you’re looking at a Savitr, you probably already know what it is. There's a reason many mastering engineers consider it a genuine end-game converter.
